Spain was Great!

We had 2 stops in Spain - Barcelona and Valencia.  We went to Barcelona first.  Spain had good food and it was really fun. We tried some food we never had before.  I really liked the salty ham and croquettes One night for dinner we have churros and hot chocolate. In Spain you dip your churros in the hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is really thick.

We also visited the Sagrada Familia, which is a big Catholic Church in Barcelona.  It was built by a famous artist named Gaudi. They have been building it for over 150 years!  It still doesn't look finished.

In Valencia,we saw our friend Miguel, who was an exchange student from Spain at Cushman last year.   We gave him and his sister and mom and dad a tour of the ship.  We also walked around Valencia and visited the Aquarium called Oceanografic, and saw penguins, sea lions and dolphins. They had a dance contest to choose someone to go on stage with the dolphins. Julian almost won but he was a little too young.  He was the best dancer, though.  We went to the museum of science the next day and before we left, we rowed in a boat with Papá.

We are on our way to Ghana now! Bye!  Talk to you soon.

Plane, Hotel, Bus and Ship

We flew from Miami to Portugal and then to Hamburg, Germany. The first airplane ride was 8 hours. The second one was 2 hours and 50 minutes. On the first flight we both had duck for dinner.  We also had dark chocolate and it was good.  I watched the movie Storks. I watched the movie Diary of the Wimpy Kid.

We stayed one night in a hotel and then we drove to the ship in a bus, in the morning. It took 3 hours- the ship was in another city called Bremerhaven. We were really excited to get on the ship. We love the ship. The Ship is very fancy.

After Papá did some training we finally started to sail on the ocean.  We were in the dock in Bremerhaven, Germany for four days and have been at sea for 3 days so far.

We are heading to Barcelona in Spain. It is taking us 5 days to get to Barcelona, SpainWe get there on Friday. All the ships services are open like the snack bar and there is really good food that even I will eat.  Mamá already got a massage.  Papá is working a lot and we visit him in his office.  The ship has been very bouncy and it has been windy but I don't mind it too much except we haven't been able to play dodgeball.   My favorite thing on the ship so far is playing chess on the huge chess board on the aft of the boat.

We have met many friends.  There are a lot of kids around our age plus 560 college studentsMy favorite thing to do on the ship so far is to play Uno with our friends.  Something cool happened to me: I lost my 1st tooth at sea and the tooth fairy came and gave me money all the way out here!!

We hope you are all okay from Hurricane Irma. Goodbye and talk to you soon.

About to Leave

We leave on Monday.

We fly to Portugal and then Germany to get on the ship.  We are going to miss our friends.  But we are very excited to travel around the world. We will be in school Friday for a half-day so we will get to say bye to them.  We won't see them again until early December when we come back to Miami with Mamá.  Papá will stay on the ship until Christmas Eve.

We are going to bring our baseball gloves and some baseballs on the ship so we can practice throwing.  They won't let us bring our bats. We are also taking a lot of books, pencils, and paper so we can study and do homework.  And games to play.

I am most excited about traveling to China because it will probably be snowing when we get there and I want to have a snowball fight.

I am most excited about going to Japan because I don't really remember it from last time.

Goodbye and talk to you soon.  We will try to write every week.
